Inspector Notes

A renewal inspection was initiated on 2-1-23 and concluded on 2-1-23. There were 41 children present with 8 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The inspection started at 9:30am and concluded at 11:00am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on temperature readings the facility failed to ensure that the areas used by the children were 68 degrees or above.

Evidence:
In classrooms #1-#3 the temperature reading on the inspectors thermometer at the time of inspection read 66.4 degrees-67.5 degrees.
Classroom #1 read 66.4 degrees.
Classroom #2 read 67.5 degrees.
Classroom #3 read 67.4 degrees.
Plan of Correction: The administration set both of the main thermostats in the facility to 72 degrees to aid in raising the temperatures in the three classrooms.
