Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/13/2024. There were 12 children, ages 3 years- 5 years, and 2 staff members providing direct care and supervision present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programs, emergencies, and nutrition. The children were observed during teacher-directed activities, outdoor time, and self-directed activities. A total of 5 children?s records, and 2 staff records were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with the provider: allergy care plans. The inspector arrived for the inspection at approximately 10:00 am and departed at approximately 11:15 am.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on thermometer readings, the center failed to ensure that each restroom provided for children shall have sinks located near the toilets and that are supplied with running warm water that does not exceed 120?F.

Evidence:
1. The water in the sink in the restroom on the right measured approximately 123?F.
2. The water in the sink in the restroom on the left measured approximately 122?F.
Plan of Correction: Staff will contact maintenance personnel.
