Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 5/10/23 from 9:35am to 10:35am with two substitute providers and one assistant. There were nine children in care, ranging in age from 11-months to five-years-old, for a total of 21 points. Children were observed singing and dancing and then going outside to play. Three child records, three caregiver records, one pet record, and one household member record were reviewed. The provider and two additional caregivers have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The caregivers reported there was no medication on site for children, but two caregivers have current certification in Medication Administration Training. Breakfast served was bagels, bananas, and milk. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
