Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on 05/29/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 3:00 pm and ended at 4:05 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 46 children present and 12 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records. This inspection included a document review, tour of facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-260-A
The center shall provide to the licensing representative an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction.

There was no annual fire inspection completed, this is over due by approximately one month.
Plan of Correction: Center will call to request an annual fire inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

The carpet in the infant room was frayed and the cove base was peeling away from the wall.
Plan of Correction: Center will repair the cove base and remove the frayed pieces of carpet.
