The center must request a search of the central registry prior to the employee's first day of employment. Staff #2, who had been employed for eight months, did not have a central registry search.
Plan of Correction: This was an oversite on our part. The Virginia CPS request was made but we did not activate the account on the background check portal when the system was updated. We requested the required background check on 12/03/2025.
