Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A renewal inspection was initiated on October 6, 2021 and concluded on October 13, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present and two staff. The inspector emailed the director a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on review of two staff records, the center did not ensure one staff member obtained documentation of tuberculosis (TB) screening that was completed within 12 months prior to or 21 days after beginning employment.

Evidence:
The record for Staff #1 (hire date 09/30/2021) contained a TB screening dated 02/08/2019.
