Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted along with Christina Jones on 6/5/24 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the provider. There were four children in care, ranging in age from seven months to six-years-old, for a total of 10 points. Children were observed playing with age-appropriate toys. Four child records, one staff record, and two household member records were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. No medications were on site and the provider has current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Violations
4Evidence: The last documented TB test for Staff #1 was dated 1/4/21, for Household Member #1 was dated 1/12/21, and for Household Member #2 was dated 10/14/21.
Evidence: A carpet with curled edges and a foam mat that did not lie flat was observed in the play area, both posing trip hazards.
Evidence: A pressure mounted gate was observed at the bottom of the stairway.
Evidence: The last annual review of the emergency plan was dated 10/14/2013.
