Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on May 29, 2024 from 9:40am to 12:26 pm and concluded on May 31, 2024.There were 65 children present ranging in ages birth through 4 years, with 15 staff supervising. There were observations of the children in care participating in centers, circle time activities, coloring at the table with staff, actively playing at outdoor playground area, completing handwashing/bathroom breaks, and eating lunch. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 14 child records, and 6 staff records were reviewed. Medications were reviewed.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure all areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

Evidence: In classroom A156, there were multiple areas on the floor, wall, and trashcan with visible brown stains, and food particles accessible to children in care.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure all hazardous substances are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In the center's hallway, there was a container of soil extraction carpet cleaner stored on top of a trashcan unlocked with the labels "keep out of reach of children" and "danger".
