Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on September 27, 2023 between the hours of approximately 10:40 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. There were 11 children present with the Provider and 1 assistant for a total of 30 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed engaging in free play. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children, caregiver and household member records, fire drill log, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, the provider did not have a thermometer available to monitor refrigerator and freezer compartment temperatures.

Evidence: There was no thermometer in the refrigerator used by the family day home to store children's food items.
Plan of Correction: I will get one this weekend.
