Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contact, documentation and photograph review, and interview.

A renewal inspection was initiated on 9/28/21 and concluded on 9/29/21. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were three children present, ranging in ages from three-years-old to four-years-old, with the provider. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies, and nutrition. One child record, the provider's record, and two household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 22VAC40-111-210-A
Based on record review and interview with the provider, caregivers did not obtain a minimum of 16 hours of annual training. Evidence: The provider stated that she had not completed 16 hours of annual training.
Plan of Correction: I have completed some training, however, I did not remember to print certificates. I will make sure I print the certificates and complete the rest of my training hours before November.
Standard 22VAC40-111-500-F
Based on review of photographs of the daycare area, the provider did not ensure that trampolines were not used during the hours children are in care. Evidence: The provider submitted photographs of the daycare area and children were viewed playing on an indoor trampoline.
Plan of Correction: I was not aware that indoor trampolines were not allowed. I will remove the trampoline from the daycare area.
