Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 03/13/2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m. There were 15 children present, ranging in ages from four to five years old with two staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and two staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on interview and review of documentation, the center failed to ensure that the medication authorization is available to staff during the entire time it is effective.
Evidence:
1. Child #6 had an epinephrine pen and an allergy action plan on site. The allergy action form indication that the epinephrine pen was effective at the time of the inspection. There was no medication authorization.
2. Staff #1 confirmed there was no medication authorization.
