Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on June 16, 2022. At the time of entrance there were 115 children and 13 staff members present with children. The sample size consisted of 5 children's records and 5 staff records. Children were observed outside playing games, inside eating snack and preparing for ttansition to the next activity. The inspection began at approximately 11:15am and ended at approximately 2:02pm. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice.

Based on recorrd review, the licensee did not ensure the documentation have been completed with the last 30 days of employment .

Evidence : Staff #3 ( hire date 05/25/2022) and Staff #5 (hire date 06 /13/2022 ) TB test were completed more than 30 days before employed. The TB teste were completed in March 2022.

Based on observation, the center did not ensure provision was made for an individual place for each child's personal belongings.

Evidence The children's jackets, lunch bags and back packs were gathered on picnic tables and on the ground through out camp. There was not an individual place for each child's belongings. Confirmed by the Director.

Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
Based on record review and staff interview, the licensee did not ensure for each group of children , the center mainted a written record of daily attendance that documents arrival and departutre of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence:
During the inspection, 1 of the 2 groups in the Youth Watch room did not have daily attendance taken upon arrival and departure times. Confirmed with the director.
