Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:40 am-1:30pm. Ratios and Supervision were found to be in compliance. The physical plant, 4 staff records, 4 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating lunch. Diapering/ Potty routines and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an ample supply of materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on record review, one staff record does not contain documentation of a completed Sex Offender search, or Child Abuse and Neglect search for a residence outside of the state of Virginia in the past 5 years.

Evidence: Staff #1 record did not contain documentation of the results of a Sex Offender search for an out of state residence prior to employment. Date of Employment 11/21/2022.
Plan of Correction: An email was sent to HR during the inspection to request documentation.
A new system is in place to make sure all required documents are sent to administrators onsite so that licensing can access as needed.
