22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education
Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted beginning at 9:55 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m. There were 161 children ages 3 months through 5 years old in the care and supervision of 31 staff. Classrooms were observed and equipped with age appropriate materials. Infants were observed being fed, during handwashing, and preparing for lunch. Two year olds were observed during free play in their classroom and outdoor play. Three, four and five year olds were observed during a variety of activities that included circle time, centers that included imagination play, painting, sensory tables, blocks, drawing, during transition time and outside playtime. Lunch today was cheeseburgers, baked beans, peaches and milk.
Files and documentation were reviewed on October 13, 2023 from 11:40 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Ten children's records, nine staff records were reviewed. Two medications and authorizations were reviewed and in compliance. Staff training hours were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
