Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on July 26, 2024 and completed on July 26, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 9:40am and ended at 1:10pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 53 children present and 9 staff. The inspector reviewed 10 children?s records and 7 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
2Evidence:
1. The record for child #1 (enrolled in 2022) and present on the day of the inspection, did not contain documentation of immunizations.
2. Staff #1, the director confirmed that the child was in attendance and that the documentation for immunization was not in the record for child #1.
1/27/2023. Child #1's last day of Summer Camp was the day of the inspection. In the future, the student files will be checked and updated to ensure that all vaccinations are current and in compliance with licensing for the upcoming school year. The immunizations for child #1 were provided to the inspector.
Based on observation and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure that hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the two and three year old classroom, there was a can of air freshener spay and a canister of sanitizing wipes both containing a ?keep out of reach of children? label stored on a counter and accessible to children.
2. Staff #1 (Director) confirmed that the hazardous substances were not locked and accessible to children.
