Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/14/25 and completed on the same day, as a part of licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:15 and ended at 11:15. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 12 children present and 3 caregivers; the point total was 26. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 1 caregiver record on-site.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-280
Potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children.

A bottle of cleaning solution was located on the counter in the bathroom accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Removed during the inspection. We will make sure all cleaners are inaccessible to the children.

Toilet chairs, when used, shall be emptied promptly, cleaned and sanitized after each use.

A potty chair in the bathroom had not been emptied after use. It still had urine in it.
Plan of Correction: Fixed during the inspection. We always do this right away but we have a new child today and then you came. We will make sure we clean right away.
