During the inspection, the children were observed playing with appropriate materials, and eating breakfast. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal, pears, and milk. Children?s equipment, indoor space, outdoor play area, kitchen, and diapering area were inspected. Five children's records, one provider record, one assistant record, and one household member?s record, were reviewed. Daily attendance records, and all required postings were reviewed. The provider was available for the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
