?8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Inspector Notes
The inspector conducted an unannounced health and safety inspection on Monday, January 9, 2023 to determine the family day homes compliance with subsidy standards. The inspection was conducted between approximately 9:50 AM until 11:30 PM. There were 8 children in care totaling 26 points with 2 caregivers supervising. The licensing inspector completed observations of the children in care participating in a variety of activities to include engaging in free play with age appropriate equipment, completing a worksheet, diapering, and interacting with peers and provider. The family day homes designated areas to include the inside and outside play areas, the kitchen, and restroom were all inspected. The first aid kit and emergency supplies, emergency contacts, and menu, were reviewed by the inspector and found to be complete. The required posted were also reviewed. Transportation is not being offered at this time. Medication is not being administered at this time. During the inspection, four children's records, one provider's record, one assistant?s record, and one household member's records were reviewed by the inspector.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
