Inspector Notes

An in person monitoring inspection was conducted today. All rooms were in ratio during the inspection.
3 child and 1 new staff records were reviewed. See violation notice for a non-compliance cited.
The playground, infant bottle labeling/dating, emergency evacuation drill log, emergency supplies, transportation log, first aid supplies, handwashing and menu posting were all in compliance.
Children were observed getting up from rest, washing hands, during a diaper change, and eating snack.

Based on a review of records, one staff record does not contain documentation of completed background searches that are required for anyone that has resided outside of Virginia in the past 5 years.
Evidence:
The Sworn Disclosure Statement (SDS) for 1 staff member reflects a residence in another state within the past 5 years.
*There are no results documented of a completed Criminal History Search for that state, prior to employment.
*There are no results documented of a completed Child Abuse and Neglect search for that state with in 45 days of employment.
(Staff A - Date of Hire (DOH) 9/2/22.
Plan of Correction: Moving forward, all searches that are required prior to employment will be completed before hiring. All other searches will be sent out in a timely manner.
