Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. All rooms were in ratio during the inspection.
Children were observed playing outside, during diaper changes, transitioning into the room from the playground during circle time, and dancing.
4 staff records were reviewed. See Violation notice for non-compliance cited.
4 child records, medications, injury reports, emergency evacuation drills, emergency supplies, first aid supplies, playground equipment and resilient surfacing were all in compliance today.

Based on a review of records, one staff record did not contain documentation of a completed nationwide fingerprint search prior to employment.
Evidence:
Staff A (Date of Hire: DOH) is documented in the record at 7/10/23. Fingerprint results on file are dated 7/12/23.
Plan of Correction: Moving forward, all searches required prior to employment will be complete before hiring.

Based on observation, hazardous materials were not stored locked when not in use.
Evidence:
Hazardous materials in spray bottles were stored on the counter and sink areas in the Toddler and Preschool 1 room.
Plan of Correction: Hazardous materials (sanitizer/cleaner) were immediately removed from the counter and sink area and stored in a locked area.
