Standard 8VAC20-780-245-J-3
Any child for whom emergency medications (such as albuterol, glucagon, and epinephrine auto injector) have been prescribed shall always be in the care of a staff member or independent contractor who meets the requirements in subdivision 1 of this subsection.

Child #1 who was prescribed Epinephrine Nasal Spray was not always in care of a staff member with a certificate of completing the MAT Epinephrine Nasal Spray Course.
Plan of Correction: All Colin Powell SACC Staff will take the training on MAT NASAL SPRAY, and have the Certificate in the Center Files.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Two bottles of hand sanitizer with warning labels, ?Keep out of reach of children,? were on top of the staff desk in both classroom 1 and classroom 2, within reach of children.
Plan of Correction: Hand sanitizer will be kept locked in the cabinet.

The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required in 8VAC20-780-60 A 8. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

The center had a written list of children's allergies that was not current. The staff person stated that one child listed was no longer attending and had been gone for approximately one month.
Plan of Correction: As of today the allergy list will be UpToDate.
