The license and any other documents required shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises. The findings from the most recent inspection, dated 5/27/25, were not posted in a conspicuous place on the premises.

Standard 22.1-289.035-B-3
The center must request a search of the central registry prior to the employee's first day of employment. Staff #1, did not have a central registry search requested for more than2 months after the documented date of employment. Additionally, Staff #2 has been employed for more than 2 months without any documentation that a central registry search has been requested.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in safe condition. There are several storage baskets being used by children in care that have areas of cracked and broken plastic. The edges of the cracked and broken plastic are jagged and sharp.
Plan of Correction: All cracked or broken storage baskets
will be removed and replaced
to ensure all areas and equipment
are maintained in a safe condition.
Standard 8VAC20-780-340-A
When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care, protection, and guidance. During the inspection Staff #1 left a plugged in and heating glue gun unattended while five and six year old children were sitting within reach of the device.
Plan of Correction: Staff will be retrained on active
supervision procedures to ensure
hazardous materials and equipment
are never left unattended within
children?s reach.
