Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:30 - 3:00 pm with the director. There were 68 children, ranging from six months to five years of age, present with nine staff supervising. Infant care was observed, and older children were observed napping. Five child records and Five staff records were reviewed along with the written daily attendance, written allergy list, eight medications and authorization forms, four allergy care plans and the medication log. Based on observation, the facility failed to ensure that children's hands were washed as required. Evidence: In the infant classroom, one infant was observed drinking a bottle and their hands were not washed afterwards and a second infant didn?t have their hands washed before being given a bottle.
