Inspector Notes

An unannounced inspection was conducted on October 2, 2023 in response to a complaint received on September 27, 2023 regarding an allegation in the area of staff-to-children ratio.

The preponderance of the evidence gathered during the investigation supports noncompliance in the area of staff-to-child ratio requirements, the complaint is determined to be valid.

Please complete the plan of correction and date to be corrected for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word corrected is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures.

Based on observation and interview, the center failed to ensure the 1:10 staff-to-child ratio requirement was met for children ages 3 years old to school age.

Evidence:
1. During the inspection 11 children from the Red Robin room (4 year olds) were observed being supervised outside by one staff. One additional staff was required.
2. During an interview with Staff #1, it was acknowledged that staff-to-child ratio requirements were out of compliance.
