Inspector Notes

An unannounced Monitoring inspection was conducted this date. A total of 8 children (20pts) with the Provider and 1 Assistant was present. When the Inspector arrived, the children and staff were outside playing in the backyard. The children were playing musical chairs while the younger children were riding small bikes. The children were offered water to drink by staff while outside. A nice transition from outside to inside was observed. The children were directed to wash hands and prepare for lunch. Lunch today was tomatoes/avocados and pasta. No medication needs at this time and no topical ointments were onsite. A total of 4 children's records, Provider, assistant and household member's files were reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation today. Based on observation of the crib room, two cribs did not have proper linen.
Evidence:
The two cribs located on the right side of the crib room did not have tight fitting sheets over the mattresses.
Plan of Correction: We will replace the current sheets with tighter fitting sheets.
Standard 8VAC20-800-530-F
Based on observation of the crib room, one crib had a soft item inside.
Evidence:
One crib was observed to have a soft toy hanging from the crib rails.
Plan of Correction: This item will be removed immediately.
