Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted between the hours of 11:15am through 12:00pm. There was one child present, age 3 years (2 points), with the Provider. One child's record and the provider's record were reviewed and found to be in compliance. During the inspection, the child was observed to be working on a craft project and engaging in age appropriate free play. Positive interactions between the provider and child were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, child and staff records, emergency drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on documentation review and provider interview, the provider has not maintained a written record of children in attendance each day.

Evidence: The provider did not have a written record of attendance for Monday 3/20/23 or Tuesday 3/21/23 and the provider reported Child #1 was in attendance both days.

Based on documentation review and provider interview, the provider has not ensured that documentation is maintained of the monthly emergency evacuation drills.

Evidence: The last emergency evacuation drill documented on the drill log was completed 10/1/2022. The provider advised she has been conducting monthly fire drills but has not maintained documentation.
