Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated and completed on July 10, 2023. There were 55 children present with 6 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based record review and staff interviews, the vendor did not ensure staff who work directly with children shall have a current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in- person competency demonstration.

Evidence: The record for Staff #2 (hire date 6-6-2022) did not include a current CPR certification as the certification available for review expired March of 2023.

Based record review and staff interviews, the vendor did not ensure staff who work directly with children shall have, a current certification in First Aid appropriate to the ages of children in care.

Evidence: The following staff do not have documentation of First Aid certification as required.
1.Staff #1?s First Aid certification expired March of 2023. Staff #1 `s hire date 6-6-2022.
2.Staff #4 `s First Aid certification card was labeled for ?Adults Only? and did not include the first aid for the age range of children in care (ages 5-11). Staff #4?s hire date 9-15-2022.
