Inspector Notes
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted between the hours of 9:55am through 10:40am. There were 7 children present (14 points) with the Provider. A total of 3 children?s files, 1 staff file, and 1 household member files were reviewed and found to be in compliance. The Provider has completed 43 hours of annual training in child related areas. The children were engaged in the following: working on art projects, reading, playing with building blocks, and preparing for their Thanksgiving party this afternoon. Positive interactions between the provider and children were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, evacuation drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures and supplies were completed today. There was one medication on site and all appropriate authorizations were on file. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was clean and organized. Please contact me with any questions at morgan.bryson@doe.virginia.gov.
