Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 06/10/2021 and concluded on 06/10/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 12 children present (26 points) with the provider and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 1 household member record submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Based on record review and staff interview, a central registry check was not completed within 30 days of a person in the home becoming 14 years old.

1. Household Member #1 reached the age of 14 in March 2021. The record for Household Member #1 did not contain documentation of a central registry check.

2. Provider acknowledged the central registry check has not been completed.
Plan of Correction: The Family Day Home will provide documentation that the central registry check was submitted within 10 business days.
