Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 1/9/23 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm with the provider and an assistant. There were seven children in care, ranging in age from five-months to two-years-old, for a total of 19 points. Children were observed napping, waking from nap and being changed, and getting ready for a bottle. Three child records, the provider record, the assistant record, one household member record, and one pet record were reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher were observed. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. Based on review of records, the provider did not ensure that checks of the central registry were completed every five years from the date of the last check. Evidence: The most recent central registry check on record for the provider was dated 12/19/17. The most recent central registry check on record for Household Member A was dated 12/14/17.
Plan of Correction: The checks were submitted in the Fall but results were not received. I submitted new checks and sent the results to the Licensing Inspector once received.
