Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 7/19/23 from 9:00am to 10:30am with the provider who was present with one assistant. There were nine children in care, ranging in age from five-months to three-years-old, for a total of 23 points. Older children were observed playing with blocks, cars, and baby dolls; cleaning up; coloring; and having free play. Infants were observed napping, having a bottle, and having their diaper changed. Three child records, the provider and assistant records, and one household member record were reviewed. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider reported that there were no medications on-site, but they do have current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
