Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 12/12/2024 and completed on 12/12/2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 am and ended at 11:10 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were five children and one caregiver present; the point total was 12. The inspector reviewed three children?s records and four caregiver/household members records on-site. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
Caregivers shall maintain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities. The file for Caregiver 2 had no documentation of training for the past year.
Plan of Correction: The provider will have caregiver 2 get 16 hours of training before the end of the year.
Standard 8VAC20-800-240-A
Areas and furnishings of the family day home shall be maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition. One of the sofas had large rips in the seats.
Plan of Correction: The sofa will be repaired or covered.
