A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-520-F
The vendor shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. This list shall be dated and kept confidential in each room or area where children are present.

The allergy list in classroom 2 did not have a date. The allergy list in classroom 4 and classroom 5 was dated 2022.

Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a
clean, safe, and operable condition.

In classroom 1, the diapering table had a hole on two of the corners that could cause entrapment or snag of skin.

Hazardous substances shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

In classroom 1, there was a closet with the door open that had aerosol spray, sanitize wipes and dish soap.
