Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A complaint inspection was conducted on 3/22/2022. A complaint incident was received by the department regarding allegations in the areas of behavioral guidance. The director or in-charge person was contacted by telephone to conduct the investigation. The inspector emailed the director a list of documentation required to complete the investigation.

The evidence gathered during the investigation did not support the allegation of non-compliance with standards or law.

Based on record review, the center did not obtain central registry background check results for one staff member within 30 days of hire.
Evidence:
Staff 1 has a hire date listed as 12/6/2021. The central registry results are dated 3/24/2022. The request was made after seven days of hire, as the original request form was dated 2/21/22.
Plan of Correction: make sure to follow up with staff before due date.
