During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on November 12, 2024 and completed on November 12. 2024, as a part of the current licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:20am and ended at 11:00am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 67 children present and 16 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site.
This inspection included: document review, postings review, tour of the facility and playgrounds, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
All areas of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe condition.
Classroom H had a plug-in air freshener, which can pose a fire hazard for the center.

Each bathroom will have soap, toilet paper, and paper towels within reach of the children.
Classroom E had no toilet paper available for the children to use.

When staff are supervising children, they shall always ensure their care, and protection. One infant was observed in Classroom A sleeping with a pacifier attached to a ribbon clip presenting a strangulation hazard.

The center did not ensure that a blanket was not used in the crib by a child under the age of 2 years. Children under 2 years of age should never have blankets in their crib as it can pose a suffocation hazard and can increases the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
