Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was completed on 08/20/2024 as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:00AM and ended at 12:30PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. There were 15 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 2 staff record. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

All staff are required to have fingerprinting every 5 years since the first check.
Staff A's last fingerprinting was dated 04/16/2018.
Plan of Correction: This was an oversight. Staff A was sent to complete fingerprinting the next day.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
A written allergy care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to
include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is
allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic
reaction. Child #2 had a documented food allergy in the file and the center did not have a written allergy care plan for the child.
Plan of Correction: The child does not have medication at the center. The director will obtain a written care plan signed by the doctor and parent.
