Inspector Notes

A complaint was received by the department regarding allegations in the area of physical plant, staffing and supervision, programs, special care and emergencies. A complaint inspection was initiated on July 12, 2022 beginning at 1:00 p.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. Classroom observations and staff interviews were conducted. Documentation was reviewed.

Based upon the preponderance of evidence, the complaint regarding physical plant, supervision, programs and special care and emergencies could not be corroborated and was determined to be not valid. Additional noncompliance unrelated to the complaint was determined during the investigation and is documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, not all infant play spaces in which an infant fell asleep was considered safe. A 6 month old infant was observed asleep propped in a 'boppy' brand pillow sleeping on the floor.

Based on observation, there was not at least 12 inches of space between occupied cribs. Evidence: In the infant b room, three infant cribs were occupied and touching one another.

Based on observation, not all cots used by children during the designated rest period had linens that consisted of a top cover and bottom cover. Evidence: In the toddler classroom, two children were observed during nap without bottom covers.
