Violations

1
Standard 8VAC20-800-350-E
Based on temperatures taken during the inspection, the provider did not ensure that hot water taps available to children are maintained within a range of 105 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

Evidence:
The hot water at the hot water tap at the bathroom sink where children wash their hands registered at 137.8 degrees Fahrenheit when measured with a digital thermometer during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The licensee stated that she had a new hot water heater installed and asked that it be set at 120 degrees Fahrenheit. She stated that she was unaware that the water was so hot when allowed to run for a period of time.
The licensee will adjust the thermostat today and re-adjust it again, as needed, this weekend to meet the required temperature range.
