Inspector Notes
An unannounced focused inspection was conducted on 10/19/22. The inspection was conducted as part of the IPOC follow up. All rooms now have qualified leads present. The alarm on the door to the kitchen was also inspected and will need to be modified. The violation notice given to the center explains what is needed. Observed children playing in all the rooms and interacting with the staff. The center failed to install an alarm that will ensure the protection of the children.
Evidence: An inspection of the physical plant and the alarm the center has installed as part of the Intensive plan of correction was conducted. The alarm the maintenance department has installed is not sufficient. The alarm sounds like a door bell and rings one time when opened. The sound can not be heard in the center, only at the front desk and office. At the time of the inspection no staff were present in the office and at the front desk.

Plan of Correction: We will ask the maintenance crew to come up with a better alarm. In the meantime we will add a child lock and latch if allowed by the sprinkler installer.
