Inspector Notes
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 5/14/21 and concluded on5/18/21. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present with 3 caretakers for a total of 26 points. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children's records and 2 caregiver records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Violations
1Evidence:
1. Caregiver 1 worked in the family day home caring for children on 5/14/21 and 5/17/21. There is no result of a fingerprint based background check in the record for caregiver 1.
2. The provider confirmed that caregiver 1 worked in the family day home prior to obtained the results of a fingerprint based background check.
