Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 05/21/2025 as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:30am and ended at 1:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. There were 8 children present and 2 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 3 caregiver records. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-60-A
The provider shall maintain an up-to-date record at the family day home for each enrolled child. Child #1 did not have 2 required emergency contacts that include: name, address, city, zip code and phone number.
Plan of Correction: The provider will obtain this information from the child's parent today at pick-up and document it in the record.
Standard 8VAC20-800-70-A
Before the child's first day of attendance, parents shall be provided in writing required policies. Child #1 and #3 did not have documentation that the parents were provided the home's termination policy.
Plan of Correction: The provider does have a termination policy. The provider will ensure every parent gets a copy of all of the home's updated policies and each parent sign off as receiving them.
