Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 1:45 pm - 2:30 pm. There were three children in care being supervised by the provider for a total of nine points. The children were observed participating in free play. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of three child records and one staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. If you have questions regarding this inspection you may contact Sharon Allen at 540-272-2941 or sharon.allen@doe.virginia.gov.

Violations

1
Standard 22.1-289.035-A
Based on record review and interview it was determined that not all provider records contained documentation of repeat central registry background checks every five years. Evidence: The most recent central registry check on file for the provider is dated 10/11/2017.
Plan of Correction: The provider was unable to locate the central registry check while the inspector was on site. The provider has requested a new central registry check for their file.
