Inspector Notes
An unannounced on-site renewal inspection was conducted on 03/12/2024. There were 81 children, ages 3 months-5 years, and 19 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector observed the following: arrival, morning snack, free choice activities, and large motor play outside, yoga and lunch. A total of 5 children?s records and 5 staff records, were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with staff: sending links from the DOE website. The inspector arrived at 8:55 AM and departed at 11:35 AM.

2Evidence:
The following written policies and procedures were missing from the staff orientation: Procedures for identifying where attending children are at all times, including procedures to ensure that all children are accounted for before leaving a field trip site and upon return to the center, Procedures for action in case of lost or missing children, ill or injured children, medical emergencies, and general emergencies, and Policy for any administration of medication.
Evidence:
The following policies were missing from the parent handbook: picking up children after closing, and when a child is not picked up for emergency situations, policy for sunscreen, diaper ointment and insect repellent, policy for communicating an emergency situation with parents, termination policies, transportation and custodial parent?s rights.
