Based on observation and interview, the provider did not ensure that potentially poisonous substances, materials, and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates qre stored in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence:
The following potentially poisonous substances were observed in an unsecured cabinet under the bathroom sink in the restroom that children use while in care:
Bleach, disinfectant cleaner, non abrasive scrubbing detergent, hand sanitizer, liquid drain cleaner, carpet cleaning spray.
The following potentially poisonous substances were observed on an open shelf of a cart in the kitchen, just off of the main living area where children are cared for:
Hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, deodorizer spray.
All of the listed items contained warnings on the label to include "keep out of reach of children" and additional hazard warnings.
The provider acknowledged that these items were located in areas that were accessible to children.
