Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 08/24/2022 . A licensing inspection was conducted on the same day as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, the vendor failed to ensure that staff shall obtain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care within 90 days of employment.

Evidence:
1. Staff 1, hire date 11/15/2021, lacks current certification in CPR.
2. Staff 2, hire date 06/03/2010, lacks current certification in CPR.
a. The certification card on file indicates an expiration date of 09/2019.
3. Administrative staff stated current CPR certification was not available for these staff.
Plan of Correction: Leadership team will plan months ahead for CPR/First Aid training to ensure all staff are certified before the camp season starts.
