Program leaders shall be at least 18 years of age, have fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent, and meet one of the lead teacher qualifications. Staff #7 is the lead in a classroom per the administrator and does not meet one of the lead teacher qualifications.
Plan of Correction: The missing component for Staff #7 was due to a misunderstanding in what type of training was acceptable. Staff #7 has now completed the mandatory training.
Standard 8VAC20-780-70
Staff records shall be kept on each staff person and contain documentation that two or more references as to character and reputation as well as competency were checked before employment or volunteering. Staff #6 has been employed for four weeks and only had one reference on file.
Plan of Correction: According to Director, references had been checked prior to hire, but had not yet been documented. Missing references was documented and added to Staff #6's file while inspector was on site.
