22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education
Inspector Notes
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m. with the director. There were 110 children ages 3 months through 10 years of age in care under the supervision of 19 staff. Infants were observed being fed, sleeping and engaged in floor play. Older infants were observed during circle time and singing songs. Toddlers were observed during story time. Two year olds were observed during transition time and story time. Three and four year olds were observed during centers that including motor skill development with scissors, blocks, magnatiles, felt story boards and legos. Three, four and five year olds were observed during transition time and lunch. School agers were observed finishing lunch, during transition to different activities including worksheet activities and reading. Lunch today was cheeseburgers, baked beans, salad and mixed fruit with milk to drink.
Nine children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Staff training was reviewed. Nine medications, authorizations and one administration log was reviewed.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
