Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the director on April 15, 2024, beginning at 1:35 p.m. and ending at 4:02 p.m. There were 104 children, ages 3 months through 5 years, in the direct care of 11 staff. The children were observed sleeping or laying on cots and listening to music or audiobooks. Six children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Four staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. Four medications and two allergy care plans were reviewed and in compliance. The menu, daily attendance, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 4/12/2024. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 8/7/2023. The most recent lockdown drill was documented as 2/28/2023. The most recent health inspection was dated 3/22/2022. The most recent fire inspection was dated 6/1/2023.

Based on a review of documentation, the facility failed to obtain annual approval from the local health department. Evidence: The most recent health inspection was documented as 3/22/2022.
Plan of Correction: The facility staff has contacted the health department regarding the annual inspection prior to licensing inspection. The facility staff will reach out to the health department again in an attempt to get it inspection completed.
