Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was completed on 12/10/2024, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:40 am and ended at 1:20 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 22 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records. This inspection included a document review, tour of facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The license and any other documents required shall be posted in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises. The findings from the most recent inspection, dated 4/15/2024, were not posted in a conspicuous place on the premises.

Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
A nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing shall be used.

The nonabsorbent cover of the changing pad was torn, the foam cushion was exposed and therefore was not covered to prevent potential absorption of bodily fluids.
Plan of Correction: Diaper changing pad was ordered during this inspection.
