Inspector Notes
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 8/31/23 from 8:52 a.m. to 10:23 a.m. in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three caregiver staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. There are no children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies. The last lockdown drill was documented on 5/30/23. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Beth Velke, at beth.velke@doe.virginia.gov or 804-629-8302.
Please complete the "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" areas on the Violation Notice for each violation cited and return to me by 5 p.m. on close of business on 10/03/23.
